New Year's Eve / Hogmanay

A Hogmanay bagpiper is a wonderful thing - you will see them at New Year Celebrations all over the land - at house parties, restaurants, hotels, outdoor events etc. They can make quite an impact.

The standard package is for a piper to...

• Pipe in the New Year - it's very effective for a piper in uniform to suddenly appear and play Auld Lang Syne as the clock strikes 12. This would then be followed by 1 or 2 uptempo celebratory tunes, such as Scotland the Brave.

In addition, you may want the piper to...

• Pipe earlier in the evening - eg. to pipe guests into dinner.

Please note: New Year's Eve is a big date for pipers - most pipers are booked months and months in advance, and many have yearly Hogmanay committments. Please enquire early to avoid disappointment. That said, we'll do our best with late enquiries too.
